Eligibility: All Indigenous people 12 years and over - First Nations, Inuit and Metis people, regardless of status or registration. All are welcome, including everyone living in the same household.

Vaccine: Pfizer - requires 2 doses minimum 3 weeks apart.

  • First and Second doses available.

  • If you received a first dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine April 10 or before, you can register to receive a second dose of Pfizer at the vaccine pow wow.

Access: By appointment, CODE REQUIRED

Hospital Based INDIGENOUS FOCUSED Vaccine Clinics

Unity health - St Mike's & St Joe's

Unity Health has two vaccine clinics operating – one at St Michael's Hospital and one at St Joseph's Health Centre. Appointments can be booked for eligible groups, including First Nations, Metis and Inuit people over 18, though an online hospital based portal or though a call centre 1-888-385-1910.

Unity Health has allocated specific spots for Indigenous Adults who self-identify during the booking process.

Michael Garron Hospital

The COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic for First Nations, Inuit and Metis adults at Michael Garron Hospital is a comfortable environment for community members to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. A sacred pipe and smudging ceremony will be conducted at the clinic before it opens. For those that wish to smudge, traditional sacred medicines will be available before or after their vaccination. In addition, our dedicated team of clinic staff and Aboriginal community members are available to address any questions or concerns.

The clinic will run on Wednesday’s from 8AM-4PM at Michael Garron Hospital. You will then be invited to book an appointment. Alternatively, you can phone our COVID-19 Vaccine Booking Office to book an appointment directly at 437-537-5131.

Hospitals all around the GTA offer vaccine clinics and INDIGENOUS ADULTS over 16 are eligible to receive the vaccine.

It is not appropriate for hospital staff to ask for a status card, it is appropriate that they ask for ID.

Pharmacy Vaccination

Shoppers Drug Mart - updated

Shoppers is offering Vaccine at select locations. You must call your preferred store for the most up to date information on what vaccine is available and to make an appointment. Individuals must be 18 years or older to be eligible on the day of administration to receive the vaccine.

rexall pharmacy - updated

Rexall has set up a "waitlist" booking platform in order to help us book appointments for eligible patients as they receive vaccines. They will notify you when you are eligible to book a COVID-19 vaccine with Rexall. Appointments will be limited and being on the waitlist does not guarantee an appointment due to limited supply of vaccine.
